Im a wheelchair bound woman t-7 and I have been a parapligic sence 1983, for 28 years 6/26/2010 of this new year. I have never played the victum in a chair, I had no choice but to take on my life. I have no family members whom could handle my disibility so I was abandoned and on my own quest to be execped by the world. I have taken care of myself and health and have been a pilot,dog musher,motorcyclest,drive vehical. and a mother. the wear and tear on the arms from day to day living the last 28 years ,it has been painful to take apart chair and pull into car.. I need transportation van with lift, due to aurthritus in joints I need less manual labor to save my body from failing me.. I am a active person and I need not to be pushed under the rug and left under house arrest for being disabled. I need to be in the public and to better teach people that we to have a right to access the world,and to excell in our lifes, but most of all we deserve to be happy and be well in our hummbled lives.. I feel we need some kind of plan for handycap persons like myself to afford vans with lifts, I have a great running vehical 1999 intrepid, I can not access anymore due to over worked on getting in and out by myself… I could never afford the payments on a van w/lift. independent transportation for independent people.. the mascot bus here is no longer giving services, and cabs are very hard to transfer into and then where do you put the chair? I would love to help this situation. I will find a way to get better quality transportation in alaska and or nation wide.. POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING
