Submitted by Pamela from Texas in response to “What Are Your Issues”. What is your issue?: My boyfriend and I was in a motorcycle accident in December of 2008. Due to the accidnet he has a C6 injury. He is paralysed from the waise down. Over the past week, you may have seen news reports suggesting that healthcare reform is in serious jeopardy. We must insist that Congress complete Healthcare Reform NOW!

Given all of the TV, radio and news coverage on healthcare reform it can be difficult to understand the reform effort and the details that are in it. You might find yourself asking, “What does healthcare reform mean for me?” “Why should I support this reform effort?”……

It’s tough for any of us to make a decision on something as important as national healthcare when the decision makers in DC can’t decide, won’t decide, are afraid to say, or don’t know how to explain to the public what they have decided on. With the explosion of online buying opportunities why shouldn’t I get the best deal and purchase my equipment and supplies on line? Generally speaking, the lower the price, the fewer the services that are available. The caution is buyer beware. People with disabilities have won an important victory in the Federal District Court, Eastern District of New York, but it may be in danger.
