Let’s get down to some plain language. Medicare has 73 million dollars that they are going to spend on fixing up some of their websites.
No kidding! The Big M is going to spend big time bucks on fixing up their websites.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the web. I work, play, watch, read, surf, cruise, and manage a number of websites there. The web is very cool, but in these tough times with The Big M hammering down on people with disabilities, there are some things even cooler. Wheelchairs, liberating wheelchair users, and promoting a sound personal infrastructure for those people who are unable to walk.
An environment which includes the means to get around indoors and outdoors in safety and without fear of being clinically harmed by using an inappropriate or cheapo wheelchair. Right, wheelchairs are not all the same. Users with complex clinical needs require complex wheelchairs. And complex wheelchairs require a ton of custom configuring.
Get it? This is a no brainer. The safety, independence, and well being of real living Americans versus websites. Or is it the needs of Americans versus the bucks of America? In either case, it’s a bum deal for everyone except the Medicare Misers, who if nothing else will get a few new websites out of this.
OK, I’m off on a rant tangent which was not at all the purpose of this post. Check out the link. It leads to a guessing game. A very short one with only a few questions. Hey, don’t sweat it, I’m going to give you the answers once you get in there and going.
Check it out and find out what $73,000,000.00 might buy.
Ziggi from Poughkeepsie
Yes, Poughkeepsie! Quit laughing, I spelled it correctly. Did you know that there have been 42 different spellings of Poughkeepsie? None of them have worked out well. I’m working on developing my own spelling but anything I come up with has already been tried.
