Now that the health care implosion and aftershock have begun to sink in, many constituents are waiting to see how the final deal gets brokered.
Representative John Hall (D-NY) puts it in and out of perspective nicely with this statement:
“Initiating more radical changes to the health-care system will likely follow once the initial reform bill is in place.
“I think a strong first step is better than nothing,” Hall said. “The question is what will be strong enough?”
This may in fact be what some people are thinking. Yet it may be just a bit off of the mark. I don’t believe the issue is “what will be strong enough?” More likely what the public will want to know is “who will it be strong enough for?” It may be a while until we find out who the losers and winners will be. One thing is for sure, everyone is never a winner in these things.
