Who Thinks This Stuff Up?

Submitted by Gregory from Texas in response to “What Are Your Issues?”

From the article ‘Legislative News’ in the publication “Action,’ it would seem I need to get a lawyer now. I have an existing condition, no employment or insurance for years and do not qualify for Medicare as I worked abroad and was only back in the US two years (not 5 as required) before this condition occurred. I am nearly 54, so my costs will already be four times higher than most other people! Doubt I will be able to afford that, so will receive a penalty every year! Who thinks this stuff up????

If you are unable to work you could possibly apply for SSDI. Have you looked into your state’s Medicaid program?
